Beringer 2006 Third Century Chardonnay - White Wine

White Wine by Beringer from Central Coast, California. For the 2006 Chardonnay, Winemaker Mary Sullivan chose to preserve the varietal's inherent fresh fruit flavors with her winemaking techniques. She used 100% Chardonnay grapes in the wine, and aged half in stainless steel barrels to maintain the fruit's brightness. The majority of the Chardonnay was aged for 5 months in a combination of seasoned American and French oak barrels to promote a delicate balance between the oak and fruit. The 2006 Chardonnay has bright flavors of citrus and ripe peaches, tropical aromas and a pleasing finish.
